This FetHead needs 42 V Phantom Power to operate and does not pass through the 42 V Phantom Power to the microphone so it can be used with Dynamic Microphones (for Condenser Microphones you should use the FetHead Phantom).

A direct comparison should be made with the FetHead Germanium which has some differnet characteristics but solves the same use case.
