Some microphones give you a very weak signal and so it's best to use them in combination with a Mic Activator like the Cloudlifter or FetHead. Here we have the Cloudlifter which is a device you put between your mixer, audio interface, or recorder and it will give you additional gain of about +25db.

Of course there are also alternatives in the Mic Activator space like the FetHead.
